Who is the "LORD God?"

Question: Who is the LORD God that remade every creation that God had finished?

Here is where you see “The Word” take part in making everything created. Jesus is the LORD God of Genesis chapter two. The New Testament says Christ is the “Light” of the world that He took part in making.

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. John 1:9

He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. John 1:10

John 1:1-3 says we should see Christ making things in the Book of Genesis. Therefore, shouldn’t the Book of Genesis have a record of Christ’s work?

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. John 1:1

The same was in the beginning with God. John 1:2

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. John 1:3

Christ Is God

To say that the Word was God or that the Word is God means God is the life in His Word. Take away God; there would be no life in His Word. There would be no Word. Take away God’s Word He will still be life. God will still be here.

To say that Christ was God or that Christ is God means God is the life in Christ. Take away God; there would be no life in Christ. There would be no Christ. Take away Christ God would still be life.

God sent forth His Word with His life in it. The Book of Life is about the Life of God, in His Word, who is Christ.

Here is where you should begin to look at how you overcame everything troubling you in the past tense. We will build our foundation upon this part of the Lord’s prayer.

After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Matthew 6: 9-10

Christ is the LORD God, who received the finished works of God into Himself.

Christ saw God’s will done in heaven as God made things. He had to see it because everything that God created was in Christ. Spiritually, as God spoke, His works appeared in the body of Christ.

We can see God and Christ working together by comparing the work done before the 7th day to the work done inside the 7th day. Comparing the two will highlight the differences between the work of God and the works of the LORD God.

Notice that the first six days testify of “God” and His works.

First Day:

Genesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light:…

Genesis 1:4 And God saw the light,…

Genesis 1:5 And God called…

the evening and the morning were the first day.

Second Day:

Genesis 1:6 And God said,…

Genesis 1:7 And God made… and it was so.

Genesis 1:8 …And the evening and the morning were the second day.

Third Day:

Genesis 1:9 And God said,…

Genesis 1:10 And God called…

Genesis 1:11 And God said,…

Genesis 1:12 …and God saw that it was good.

Genesis 1:13 And the evening and the morning were the third day.

Fourth Day
Genesis 1:14 And God said,
Genesis 1:16 And God made
Genesis 1:17 And God
Genesis 1:18 …God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:19 And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Fifth Day
Genesis 1:20 And God said,
Genesis 1:21 And God created:… and God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:22 And God blessed them
Genesis 1:23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

Sixth Day
Genesis 1:24 And God said,…
Genesis 1:25 And God made:… and God saw that it was good.
Genesis 1:26 And God said,…
Genesis 1:27 So God…Genesis 1:28 And God …Genesis 1:29 And God said,…
Genesis 1:30 …and it was so.
Genesis 1:31 And God saw everything that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

God finished His works, in Christ, on the sixth day.

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. Genesis 2:1

Christ Starts what God Finished

The following two scriptures appear to say the same, but they do not. Why would they say the same thing? Does God waste words? (Genesis 2:2 & Genesis 2:3)

Genesis 2:2 is saying, on the 7th day, God ended His work which He made in Christ. He then rested in Christ on the 7th day.

Genesis 2:3 is saying Christ made things on the 7th day. It is another way of saying that “Christ was with God, and He was God. There was nothing created without Christ.

On the 7th day, as God rested, Christ worked (with God in Him) to bring forth the finished spiritual work of God (the Father) into the natural world we see and touch.

The Work Christ did in the Beginning

Pay attention to the order of creations. It is easy to see Christ with God.

A man was the last creation God made before He rested.

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:27

After God made man, He commanded man to have dominion over the things created before him. God then looked over everything He had made and saw it was good. He had finished His work.

And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. Genesis 1:31

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. Genesis 2:1

In contrast, Christ, the LORD God, made things after He made man. Christ made the earth and the heavens. Afterward, He made every plant and herb of the field before He formed man.

These are the generations of the heavens and of the earth when they were created, in the day that the LORD God made the earth and the heavens, And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. Genesis 2:4-5

Think for a moment. How can you possess a plant of the field before it is in the earth, or an herb of the field before it grows? You possess them by holding their seeds in your hands.

Christ made the seeds for man’s food and then formed a man from the dust of the ground. After He formed a man, Christ the “LORD God” planted a garden. He then placed the man in the position to till the ground before it brought forth every tree, plant, and herb that was good for food.

And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7

And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there he put the man whom he had formed. And out of the ground made the LORD God grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; … Genesis 2:8-9

And the LORD God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. Genesis 2:15

Christ caused the ground to bring forth food after putting the man in place to till the ground.

This is in contrast with God the Father, who saw the earth bring forth every tree, plant, and herb that was good for food three days before He created man in Christ.

And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. And the earth brought forth grass, and herb yielding seed after his kind, and the tree yielding fruit, whose seed was in itself, after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the third day. Genesis 1:11

Which came first, the beast of the field or the man created in the image of God?

Another significant difference is God made all creatures before He made man.

Christ, the LORD God, formed a man from the dust of the ground. Afterward, Christ made the creatures (including fowl) and brought them to the man.

And out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field, and every fowl of the air; and brought them unto Adam to see what he would call them: and whatsoever Adam called every living creature, that was the name thereof. And Adam gave names to all cattle, and to the fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field; but for Adam there was not found an help meet for him. Genesis 2:19-20

Do you see the difference? (1) God the Father made the creatures, and then (2) He made the man. Christ, the LORD God, formed the man before He formed the creatures and brought them to the man.

There you have it. The Word is making all things. Christ is bringing forth the work that God spiritually finished in Him into this natural world.

Now, we are the finished works of God. In the Lord’s prayer, we ask God to do His will in us on earth as He did in heaven.
Spiritually, after God spoke of us having dominion, He saw what He said. In Christ, God saw us as we subdued the earth here and now.
Christ, the LORD God, could not return to God in victory until after He gave us the power to have dominion. Otherwise, Christ would not have pleased God. He would not have prospered in the place where God sent Him.

God in the form of His Holy Spirit, entered us when Christ returned to heaven. God is pleased because He is in the earth, in us. It is the Life of God that is in us that enables us to do greater works than what Christ did.

This is what Christ said.

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. John 14:12

Judge me by my work. The closer you look at my work, the stronger you will become. You will see God and His mercy towards us. We are The Image of God. My faults are many. Yet, here We are, leading the world in Bible study.

Our Book of Life Challenge is NOT a game. The King James Version of the Bible has opened as the Real Book of Life. We don’t want to imply that our time is running out. But We are moving forward like We know something that you don’t.
