Question #1: How, when, and where does Christ first show up in the Bible?

We are supposed to see Christ in the beginning of the Bible.

The birth of Christ is the result of a Spiritual Seed sown into the heart of a Spiritual man(-kind) at the beginning of the world as we know it. God’s Word is that Seed. The Spiritual man(-kind) that received God’s Seed, multiplied and reproduced in the earth, by the Word of God.

By faith, Mary gave birth to God’s Seed planted in the heart of the Spiritual man(kind) at the beginning of the world. We will revisit this subject as we proceed deeper into our study. At this point, we are introducing Christ as He first appears on the scene in the Bible.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men.  John 1:1-4

Look into the REAL Book of Life

The first step toward seeing into the REAL Book of Life is to see Christ at the beginning of the Bible. It is all Christ. The Bible is ONE book about the life of God in Christ.

Here, Jesus, Himself explains how and where to look to see Him at the beginning of the Bible.

Then spoke Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12

The Bible tells us that Christ is God’s Word made visible in the form of flesh.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14

Every word that God sends forth from His mouth leaves with a mission and returns in victory.

I give you a scripture to create a visual in your mind. It is Isaiah 55:11.

If speaking of Christ, God could say, So shall my [Son] be that goeth forth out of my mouth: [He] shall not return unto me void, but [He] shall accomplish that which I please, and [He] shall prosper in the thing, whereto I sent [Him].

From the mouth of God Christ entered the world where God sent Him, accomplished His mission, and returned unto God.

Is Christ the Word of God

If Christ is the Word of God and the light of this world, the New and Old Testament must bear a record of it. Because the New Testament tells us how to read the Old Testament.

Where should we look to find Jesus in the Old Testament? Go to the book of Genesis. You will see that on the 4th day, God spoke, and the sun, stars, moon, and everything to do with natural lights came forth. Genesis 1:14 -15, 19

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. Genesis 1:14-15

And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. Genesis 1:19

The natural lights came forth on the 4th day. What is the light that came forth on the first day if it’s not the spiritual light of Christ? Genesis 1:3-5

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. Genesis 1:3-4

And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. Genesis 1:5

Science, the Bible, and Common Sense

Here is where science, the Bible, and common sense agree. We know that there was once life on earth destroyed by something catastrophic. The Bible has been telling us this all along.

In the first verse of the Book of Genesis, we see God created heaven and the earth.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Genesis 1:1

The earth that God created was destroyed. Genesis verse two is a description of what the end of that world was like.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. Genesis 1:2

  In Hebrew:

  1. Without Form, means to lie waste: a desolation (of a surface) figuratively, a worthless thing. Void means (to be empty): an undistinguishable ruin. A ruin is something destroyed!
  2. Darkness means misery, destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, and wickedness.

(Strong’s Exhausted Concordance: Form #H8414: Void #H922, Darkness: #H2822)

What follows the destruction is Christ and a new beginning of the world as we know it.

Since prehistoric beasts aren’t chasing us every day, common sense would agree with science and the Bible. We are living in a new beginning.

In the Bible, Christ is the light of the first day of the new beginning. Consequently, this answers how, when, and where Christ first appeared on the scene in the Bible.

Correct Answer:

How: From the mouth of God

When: When God said, Let there be light.

Where: Genesis 1:3

The REAL Book of Life is in Christ

Seeing Christ at the beginning of the Bible adds clarity and power to a renewed way of thinking.

Christ is the foundation on which our faith is built. To see Him at the start of the Bible is a must. It is the first step towards seeing into the Book of Life. It also is the first step towards you seeing how you overcame everything troubling you.

In the image below, one side represents the truth, while the other is a lie. So-called Christians embrace the lie at the expense of our children. Then they have the nerve to call me foolish because I say the REAL Book of Life is open to make us stronger in Christ.

As we answer the question, “Who is the LORD God,” you will see that everything is in Christ.
